The big networks are really struggling with compelling and well acted dramas right now, Last Resort was my favourite of the new dramas to air this fall but it’s Thursday night time slot means it was doomed from the start.

I’m glad that we will at least be getting all 13 episodes and some kind of conclusion but it would have been definitely interesting to see where the show might have gone if it had lasted longer.

It was never perfect and sometimes clunky but performances from Andre Braugher and Daisy Betts helped elevate it and conspiracy angle was never completely drawn out just for the sake of it.

So long Last Resort, you deserved better.
