This conspiracy thriller from Australia was a pleasant surprise and I really enjoyed it. With a great cast including Aden Young from Rectify, the always great Lucy Lawless and Ashley Zukerman (also amazing in WGN’s Manhattan), the story brings together several different strands, with journalists, politicians, spin doctors, a hacker and a local teacher all caught up in a web of lies covering up the death of a teenager in a mysterious accident in the outback.

There is a lot of love about The Code and I also happen to watch it during a weekend when I was also bingewatching season one of Manhattan so now I am so enthralled by Zukerman who is great as Jesse Banks, a young man who along with his brother Ned (Dan Spielman) try to figure out what the hell is going on.

Lots of twists and turns and a pretty great conclusion which could set up any potential second series.
